Red face Delta Phi Nu

🌸 Bring Delta Phi Nu (ΔΦΝ) to Your Campus! 🌸

Looking for a way to create real sisterhood, grow as a leader, and leave a lasting legacy at your school with affordable dues? Consider founding a chapter of Delta Phi Nu Women’s Fraternity (ΔΦΝ)!

Who We Are
Delta Phi Nu (DFN, also known as “Delta Phi”) is a Canadian-founded, national sorority with 350+ members nationwide. Established at Fleming College in Peterborough, Ontario in 2008, DFN was the first women’s fraternity created in the Kawartha Region. Since then, it has grown into a supportive, empowering organization built on three core values: loyalty, knowledge, and perseverance.

Our Story

In 2008, two students—Samantha Fox and Rebecca Gillespie—set out to create more than just a campus club. They envisioned a lifelong sisterhood of strong, hardworking women committed to personal growth and friendship. On May 14, 2008, Delta Phi Nu was officially founded.

Today, Delta Phi Nu has expanded beyond its founding campus, hosting annual traditions, leadership workshops, philanthropy events, and a national convention (“DeltaCon”) every five years.

What Makes Us Different

Inclusivity: Membership is open to all who share our values—regardless of background, religion, orientation, or whether you’re an undergrad, alumna, or non-binary student.

Lifelong Sisterhood: Alumnae remain active through our Blue Delphinium Society, which keeps sisters connected long after graduation.

Philanthropy: Every chapter supports the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) nationally, while also adopting a local cause to give back directly to their community.

Leadership & Growth: Our National Council and DeltaCon events provide opportunities for mentorship, networking, and skill-building.

Membership!

From day one, Delta Phi Nu has been built on accessibility, inclusivity, and opportunity.

Who Can Join? Anyone age 17+ who has attended or is currently attending a post-secondary institution.

Inclusivity: Membership is open regardless of religion, cultural background, sexual orientation, or economic status. We also welcome non-binary members who value sisterhood.

Alumnae as Actives: Unlike many sororities, DFN allows alumnae to join and remain active members as long as they choose, before transitioning when ready. This brings diverse experiences, mentorship, and professional insights into each chapter.

Lifelong Connection: After graduation, sisters remain part of the Blue Delphinium Society, an alumnae association offering exclusive events, merchandise, updates, and continued leadership opportunities.
This unique structure ensures that every sister has a place in DFN for life—whether she’s just beginning university or has already started her career.

DeltaCon

Delta Phi Nu is supported by its National Council, a governing board of alumnae who provide resources, oversight, and guidance to all chapters. You won’t be alone—you’ll have help every step of the way in founding and running your chapter.

Every five years, sisters gather for DeltaCon, our national convention. It’s part workshop, part celebration: leadership training, mental health and wellness sessions, social events, and an elegant formal banquet. It’s a highlight of the Delta Phi Nu experience and a reminder that our sisterhood extends far beyond one campus.

Why Start a Chapter?

Founding a Delta Phi Nu chapter means building something meaningful at your school:

- Create a legacy organization that future students will join for years to come.
- Shape the chapter’s traditions, events, and local philanthropy from the ground up.
- Gain hands-on leadership experience that looks incredible on a resume.
- Be part of a national network of sisters who will support you personally and professionally.

✨ Whether you’re an undergrad looking for community, or an alum who still wants to stay connected, Delta Phi Nu gives you the opportunity to grow, lead, and build a sisterhood that lasts a lifetime. Don’t just join history—make it on your campus!
