Bro. Gregory N. Washington (3-Kappa Lambda Chapter-'86, North Carolina State University) is the president of George Mason University, the largest university in Virginia. He was previoudly the Dean of the Samueli School of Engineering at UC, Irvine and before that served as Professor of Mechanical Engineering at The Ohio State Univsersity.
He's become embroiled in the current federal politics regarding DEI and other efforts to broaden the base of enrollment and recruitment in higher edication. He has not capitulated to a call to offer an apology for his work at George Mason in a climate where federal funding has been tied to sweeping changes in the landscape civil rights in higher education.
