GC : New Forum Software On The Way Q2 2021

Just wanted to let everyone know about some upcoming changes for GC. Been preparing GC since the start of the year for various software infrastructure & web hosting changes, including new forum software. If you've noticed my name in the Online Users list much more often lately, this is usually what I'm working on.

The new forum software will be the most noticeable change as the other upgrades are on the back-end server side of things.

A bunch of work has already been done but a bit more is still needed. I don't have an exact timeline but estimate is for everything to be completed & GC running on the new forum software by no later than mid June.

All GC accounts, forums, discussion threads, replies & other data will be converted over to the new software. The new forum software will likely be similar enough to what we currently have so that it's not too difficult for anyone to figure out. The new software will have more modern functionality & will be mobile friendly along with other improved features.

There will be a testing phase before the changes are implemented. For anyone who would like to take part in previewing & testing out the new forum software, please mention in a reply below & I'll contact you with login details when we're ready to begin testing.
