Multi Org'ed
I've got a question. Why do some individuals who are apart of one organization don't represent the other organization that they are apart of. I've seen brothers who have only other organizations in their signature but don't have APO, and I've seen brothers that don't have other sororities that they are apart of, but only have APO in their signature. I'm not saying what they should or should not do. I'm just looking for thoughts on this aspect. If it was me and I was apart of more than one organization, I would be listing all of them in my signature. But that's just me. What are your thoughts.

That's sad.
How bout the other way. People who only represent half of who they are. And that part is APO. I mean, should they attempt to represent APO and the organization they represent?

Soror,
I'm confused as well. The last time I checked both Gamma Sigma Sigma and Alpha Phi Omega were VERY real organizations. I think that statement came from the mentality that other greeks have about service/professional/etc. organizations, that we're not "real Greeks". But that's simply a mentality, not reality.
But to try to answer the question at hand, I think it's about personal preferences, not that people don't necessarily have love for the organization. That's just my thought on it.

re:multi org'ed
JayBEE,
You asked a very important question. I've also asked the same question when I became a brother. Here's my opinion: people who are members of two organizations will never like them both the same. Either they'll prefer one over the other (you know they say one man cant serve two masters); and if they don't prefer one over the other; then they'll always like both organizations differently, because both organizations are unique in its own way.
It is true that some people do not think APO is "real", which is very ingnorant; but at the same time not all APO chapters pledge process is the same That's probably why some people feel the way they feel about APO. Oh, and as for people who only have signatures in other organizations but not APO...that's because the "social" organizations are still the "in-thing". I mean, APO is a great service fraternity...but some people automatically assume that if you're Greek and not social, you ain't got no game.

I think that if someone does not want to "represent" their organization, then they should turn in their pin and disaffiliate.
APO is just as real as GSS. At least, GSS is real to me. If other people don't see it that way, that's their choice.
I am very proud to be a Sister of Gamma Sigma Sigma. I wear my maroon and white proudly. I've said it once and I will say it again, we are all Sisters (or brothers) together.

As far as signature is concerned that is something that means nothing. It is about what is in your heart. You have to represent what is meaningful to you. I could represent Alpha Phi Omega on this board, but if I am not doing anything in it then what is the purpose to add it to my signature. The same goes for Alpha.
Side note: I am now a member of the Beta Mu Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. I crossed the burning sands on Saturday, November 18 at 6:06pm.

How does Alpha Phi Alpha letter it's chapters? I know they have a lot of Alumni chapters, but are they in the same sequence. Just sort of suprised to see a collegiate chapters with three letters starting with Beta.

If you see a Lambda anywhere in it, then it is an alumni chapter.
Undergraduate chapters:
Alpha through Psi (No Lambda or Omega)
Alpha Alpha through Psi Psi (May not include Lambdas or Omegas)
Alumni chapters:
Alpha Lambda through Psi Lambda
Alpha Alpha Lambda through Psi Psi Lambda
Exceptions:
Rho is an alumni chapter
Omicron Lambda Alpha is an alumni chapter
No Undergrad chapter utilizes Lambda
No chapter utilizes Omega
