fun ideas for food at rush?

Do you serve food at your rush? If so what food and drinks have been really popular or unique. We need ideas!

OK, this is going back a few years, but we used to do this western theme skit and served root beer in cowboy boot mugs and popcorn.

Popcorn is good because it is a break from the super-sweet snacks... frozen "virgin" drinks are always a hit... cookies in the shapes of your symbols... anything with a cute gimmick to match your theme (root beer floats for a 50s round, fruit salad or something tropical for a hawaiian round).

Well, Delta Gamma one year did a whole Holiday themed Rush, each night was a different Holiday. Preference was New Year's Eve. When they did "Halloween" they gave out traditional halloween candy, but for Mardi Gras night they had candy necklaces as "beads". Very cute.

Shirley Temples were a big hit for the school I advised, in terms of drinks. Exotic fruit also got the thumbs up during our Jungle theme....passion fruit, kiwi, and plain old grapes worked really well.

During one of our informal rushes, we had a mocktail party - it was a big hit.

We made sushi for pref one year... we were all so stressed, and making sushi is oddly relaxing. It was all vegetarian so that we didn't risk problems with fish going bad, and we had a lot left over to munch on after pref
