Request From Overseas Please!!
Hello Ladies!!!
I have a big favor to ask of you all. As some of you may know my husband, Monico, is stationed overseas in a far off land called Uzbekistan. His reserve unit is in San Antonio,TX and there are 60 other men who were sent overseas with him. These guys are all wonderful men who have families and are missing the states just as much as my husband. The guys all have access to email and a free Red Cross phone, so they are in contact with friends and family. However, nothing lifts thier spirits more than hearing thier name during "Mail Call". So, what my husband asked is if I could get my chapter to take 10 minutes out their day to scribble a note for these guys. So I did; and then got to thinking about all of the other wonderful sisters that I have worldwide!! If you all sent one letter in the next few months, then it would ensure that these guys would be kept happy! Nothing personal, no commitment to keep writing; just a small note of encouragement and thanks for all thier hard work. I have tried to send my husband a letter every week just so that he gets something at mail call. Some of these guys have been there all this time and have not recieved one letter!! We all know how good it feels to recieve a friendly letter every so often.
I will provide you all with the address. I don't have a list of names that you could address it to, but if you label it in the same way as I have typed it, then it will be given to a soldier in his company.
SSG. Monico Reyna Jr.
329th QM BN
ATTN: 238th Maint. Co
APO AE 09311
On the outside of the letter, please write our A-Phi letters on the front of th envelolpe, so that my husband know's not to open it and to pass it along to a fellow soldier.
At the end of the letter please add : P.S I am an Alpha Phi friend of SSG. Monico Reyna Jr, San Antonio, TX. Thank you all for your time and support!! It really does mean a lot to our soldiers to know that they have not been forgotten!!!
