Talking Buying a new car!

When I was 15 I decided that my first brand new car that I purchased on my own would be a 2003 Honda Accord.

One week to go and the completely brand new Accord will be in showrooms!!! I can hardly stand it. What if it's hideous??? I swear I'll be crying at the Honda dealer asking Why Why Why??? My backup car is the Civic but I really really want an Accord. Plus I think I'll lose it if I have to wait too long for the 2003 Civic.

My dad's all gung ho about me buying a new car too. But he says that I should at least look at four cars. For the last year I've been eliminating cars. So unless he means going to four different dealers, he is going to be disapointed.

Jetta-- cute. But can absoultely not stand the cowl lick antenae.

Acura RSX-- love it. But I want something more practical. And something that won't be as expensive to insure.

Altima-- nothing wrong with it. I just can't picture myself driving one.

Corolla-- that damn antenae again.

Camry-- I really like the new style. But, I just don't think anyone under 30 and single should own one.

Anything American-- yeah right! Nothing but crap in my experience. If my car wasn't an import there's no way it'd be still going. It's a '90 and runs perfectly!

What scares be about all this is the car payments. The idea of paying $300-$400 plus insurance every month scares me. But it also makes me grateful that I live at home rent free. I would never be able to afford a new car if I had to pay $600 rent plus utilities every month.
