How do you plan on spending your day on 9/11/02?
I really haven't decided on how I will spend my day on 9/11? I don't even know if I'm gonna spend a lot of time talking about the events with my students in class. What are some of your thoughts and godwilling what do you plan on doing on 9/11?

greetings:
honestly my boyfriend and i are going to new york city for the day. i've been to d.c., but i havent been to nyc since the attacks and i would like to visit ground zero and say prayers for the families of victims. we're just going to take the train up there for the day. i'm honestly not scared about attacks that day because if it's my time to go, then what i can i do.

I will attend at least one of several memorials in my area since many of my neighbors lost their lives. I can't believe that it is almost one year.

I'll be in class. I'm still having issues with seeing pictures or video of the events. Although my heart is in the right place, I will not be attending any memorials or related events. I just can't handle it...for now.

I haven't decided yet. There will be some things going on in my area at school and a few churches. Wow, it's hard to believe that it has almost been a year since that dreadful day. There's a special tonight on dateline if anyone's interested.

Well, it is kinda of a twist. That day is my birthday so after the memorial at my university, I will hopefully have time to do at least a bit of celebration for my last day of being a teenager...

I still haven't decided if I will actually talk about or teach a lesson around the events of September 11, 2002. It's still too close for many of my students since Fairfax County is 10 minutes away from D.C. and we also have so many students from Near East Asia and a lot of them are Muslim and I don't want to make the out to be the bad guys. I'm just going to continue on with my original lesson.

Well I have to write a paper in my swk. class about it. But on that day our school is having our Convocation where the President gives his address to the Univ. and our guest speaker is Rev. Mathew Watley. Ive heard him preach and hopefully he will bring ease to some peoples hearts.
Im at peace with the whole thing. The gov't is just pissing me off...they spent trillions of dollars fighting a war of the unknown and today we are in the same position we were in a yr ago only more lives have been lost unnecessarily. Im not against the war idea but I think it could have used more strategic planning...I think Congress was approving all of those bills based on their emotions not logic.
Just my $19.22 sorry to change the subject...just doing a reflection

Helping someone else...
How will I spend my Sept. 11, 2002....helping someone else.
Donate Blood to the Red Cross, or volunteer some time at the local rec center.
And simply personally reflecting on the events of that fateful day 9.11.01, the lives lost, and appreciating the little things in my own life.
