Post History of Rush

Greetings everyone!

Okay, I'm new here, but I'm in search of some help. I'm writing a recruitment chapter for a pledge education manual and looking to find out about the HISTORY OF RUSH! Yes, that's right, the history of rush.

Rumors are that the term "Rush" was created because when students arrived to campuses by train back in the 1800's, greek representatives would "rush" to the train station to begin to select members for their organization. The only problem is, I have no positive information for that. Does anyone? Do you know of any websites that talk about rush or recruitment?

Thanks in advance for any and all help!
