Visiting Other Chapters
Have you guys visited other chapters? This Spring Break we went to a sisters house in L.A. so we visited USC (Alpha Psi) and UCLA (Alpha Chi). It was really fun. At USC they were actually filming a movie on the ADPi exterior. It was "Nancy Drew goes to College" lol. We couldn't see ADP's letters anywhere so we asked some guys and they pointed to where the filming was going on. There was PPP and "rush tri-pi" signs all over the house. We were bummed because we wanted a tour, but we saw a girl go inside the house so we walked up and rang the bell and told them we were from UW, etc. They were really nice and their house was so pretty. They told us that "Sorority Boys" was also filmed there. At UCLA the ADPi house is so GORGEOUS! The girls were actually on Spring Break like we were but we went up to the house and rang the bell anyway. The house mom answered it and she took us on a tour of the house. She was so nice we were like "why can't we have a housemom like that?" She told us that Duece Bigalow was filmed inside that house. It was a really fun experience. I hope I can visit some more chapters someday!

wow it sounds like you had a really great spring break. i haven't been as lucky as you to get to visit other adpi chapters although i would like to. g'luck with recruitment

That's amazing! I'd love to see photos of those houses. So, if any USC or UCLA ADPis are reading this, let's see these famously gorgeous homes you girls get to live in!

I'm not an ADPi, but I have seen the outside of the ADPi house at USC, and yes, it is very impressive and beautiful!
DG, AXO, KKG, & DDD were some of my favorites...

The DGs at USC gave me a tour of the house and I was very impressed. The girls were all so friendly and kind...it made me proud to be a Delta Gee!
Thank for your kind words! Alpha Delta Pi is a fine sorority as well...they are terrific at my alma mater of UBC in Canada!

Carrie,
I think we went to USC's house around the same time because I have a friend who is in Alpha Chi Omega and a fellow adpi and I went to go visit her, she took us up to ADPi's house and the house was covered in all those signs too the II II II. I believe it was SAE's house who was the actual main house where they were filming the movie. but anyways, the girls were great! I read that and was like I KNOW what she's talking about hehe.

You guys should try a drive through the big southern chapters next break. I did that with some friends and it was so amazing. Everyone was so sweet!

I know, I would love to visit a chapter in the south. But I've never been to any southern states, so I don't think it will happen anytime soon.

You should definitely come down south! Why not come all the way to Macon!! I'm in the Beta Sigma chapter @ Mercer University...we're like 10-15 min from where Alpha Delta Pi started! (Even less if you are talking about the first location of Wesleyan College) Macon truly has alot of ADPi history If you ever make it down here...call the house! We can show you stuff around here!!!

The University of Texas Chapter held a bar-b-que for our chapter. It was fun going to Austin and spending time with another chapter. I actually found out that some of my old friends from my high school were in their chapter. Their house is beautiful. It even has an inside swimming pool that the girls tan in. I thought it was very sweet of them to invite my chapter to visit.
I think that we have a very pretty house as well. It is a historical sight in San Marcos and has a lot of history. 2 ADPi's have been married there and a well known bachelor owned it before we did. At one point in time it was the largest house in San Marcos. If ya'll would ever like to stop by, you are more than welcome!

We used to do mock recruitment parties with the chapter in Tampa. They don't have a house, so they loved taking photos with us in front of ours. They're a great chapter; I wish we could've done more stuff with them, but it's a little bit of drive from Orlando!
