Hi,
I am the president of a new local with the intent of affiliating with an NPC group. We have petitioned our local Panhellenic to bring another sorority to our campus, and they will be voting on the issue in the fall.
Our group is named Delta Zeta Alpha, and I noticed our social posted a thread for social ideas, and I wanted to thank those of you who gave her ideas – they were great! I took the advice that dzsaigirl gave and I looked into the rush thread posted by wishinhopin (a concise version of our story is posted on the last page of her thread) Wow – what an inspirational story and so much like my own! I read the rush plan done by a Christian local that was posted, and we have incorporated some of those ideas. However, we still need some more suggestions. So far we have planned to have two informational nights, and we have two days left over. We wanted to recruit on the second week of the fall semester, and Monday of that week is Labor Day, so we only have four days to work with. Our flower is the rose, and we have toyed with the theme of “Bloom with Delta Zeta Alpha”. Too cheesy? We wanted to do some kind of bump group activity, and interview. We also want a classy bid day party. Our problems are a low budget and limited time. Does any one think we should move our bid party to Saturday? Are the three days we have planned enough time to select quality members? I would appreciate any suggestions!
