Serenading
I have done a search on this topic and have found a few things but I would still like a little more help if possible.
My sorority likes to go out and serenade other Greek organizations but we only have about 5 or 6 songs that we can sing well. Does anybody have any that they can share with me? I would really appreciate it. They can be clean or dirty...we do both I am also looking for general sisterhood songs. If you don't want to post them please PM me.
If you have any songs about the following organizations that would help even more:
Alpha Gamma Delta
Alpha Phi
Alpha Sigma Alpha
Beta Sigma Phi
Theta Phi Alpha
Delta Phi Epsilon
Phi Sigma Sigma
Beta Theta Pi
Delta Chi
Delta Tau Delta
FIJI
Lambda Chi Alpha
Phi Delta Theta
Pi Kappa Alpha
Sigma Alpha Epsilon
Sigma Chi
Sigma Nu
Theta Chi
Theta Xi
Thank you very much!

What exactly do you need songs about other organizations for?? Does serenading at your school consist of singing a different song to each group?

We like to have a variety of songs. We don't like to sing the exact same song to every single house...especially when a few of them are right next door to each other.
Right now we have songs about Delta Tau Delta, Pi Kappa Alpha, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Lambda Chi Alpha, and Theta Chi. Some of the songs we can change the words and they work for other organizations but it doesn't work for all of them.
Thanks!

This is a pretty standard one, but you could always take "Jesse's Girl" and turn it into "Lambda Chi Girl" or whatever. Yeah, it's kind of an older song, but retro is in!

I'm not sure what kind of songs your looking for, but when we serenade fraternities we always sing Pink Pajamas. I've heard that it's an old girl scout song, but who knows, if you don't know the lyrics let me know.

Thanks!

as opposed to PM'ing everyone with the lyrics to pink Pajamas I'm just going to post them here. Sorry it's hard to convey a tune over the computer, but with this song it's just king of a sing song tune, so however you do it I'm sure it will be fine.
I wear my pink pajamas in the summer when it's hot,
and I wear my flannel nightie in the winter when it's not,
but sometimes in the spring time and sometimes in the fall
I jump into the covers with nothing on at all
Don't you wish that you could be there,
Don't you wish that you could be there,
Don't you wish that you could be there,
In the spring time and the fall (clap, clap)
With nothing on at all (clap, clap)
I'm sure we'd have a ball, (clap, clap)
With nothing on at all (clap, clap).

We have been known to sing "big spender" "take your man around the corner" and a few others i dont remember. its fun, but they arent related to a specific fraternity. Latties are a lot more common.

Thanks pollywogg23!
hannahgirl: What is "buttercup?"
RedRoseSAI: Lambda Chi Girl would be hilarious for us to sing because I'm married to one and half of my sisters are dating them
Any more songs? We are going out serenading tonight

"Why do you build me up, buttercup baby
Just to let me down....."
Our serenading is getting weak! We don't have many that pertain to the different fraternities on campus. Any help would be wonderful

When I get time I'll post a few of our songs. Here is one that I can think of off the top of my head. Remember the movie A League of Their Own? We changed the words so it fits us
We are the sisters of Alpha Theta Chi
We come from cities, near and far
We’ve got unity, diversity too
We’re all for one, we’re one for all
We’re Alpha Theta Chi!

When we did our serenades, we changed words to recent hit songs. We did a mix of three. Some of the lyrics that stick out are from Britney's "I'm a Slave for You."
We did dances with chairs just like from the video. It was a big hit! Hope it helps
"I know I may come off quiet
I may come off shy
But I feel like talkin', feel like dancin' when I see that Sigma Chi *insert GLO*
What's practical, what's logical, what the hell, who cares?
All I know is I'm so happy when you're dancing there
CHORUS
I'm a Sig-ma Kappa...
I cannot hold it, I cannot control it
I'm a Sig-ma Kappa....
I won't deny it, I'm not trying to hide it"

Derby Days on our campus usually consists of a "serenade night." The songs feature Sigma Chi but you can probably alter them to fit any GLO.
Here we go:
"California Girls" (Oh I wish they all could be Sigma Chi Guys... (or whatever))
"Songs from Dirty Dancing" (Hey, Hey Sigma Chi we wanna know... could we be your girls?)
'What I like about you" - by the Romantics
"Candy Girl" (Oh honey honey, oh sugar sugar, you are my sigma chi, and you've got me wanting you)
"Songs from Grease" (You're the one that I want, the one that i want Sig-ma Chi)
my favorite: Girls from the Beastie Boys. I have the complete lyrics to them but I don't have my binder with me. We changed it from Girls to Guys of course.
