Well I got all of that honey plus some:

I got an Uncle Junebug(yes that is his name) who is always stealing, then got the nerve to help the person look for the money.

I got a nasty cousin that got busted out just like in "Soul Food" the movie when Vanessa Williams found out that her niece messed with her man "F*** the family!" was said , lawd.

I got an Aunt that is 500 pounds, but is always on a diet. You know she'll eat chocolate with slim fast, Fried Chicken with metabolite, thinking she's "making the calories even" WTF?

I got more, but I want to know do people out there share my pain.

This sounds like one of my uncles, eventhough the name is different(Danny Red in this case). I try to stay as far away from him as I can. He steals so bad, that I will not let him know where I live.

This family member is not really crazy, but she's stupid as hell. Excuse me while I vent, but she just asked my Cancer striken grandmother to cosign another car for her
I've got a second cousin, Wanda, who is GARBAGE. This woman is over 30 years old and has been going to school since she was 18 (that's at least 12-13 years), yet all she has is her CNA II She got married to a drug dealer and had 3 children by him. One day while they were out shopping, she didn't pay attention to her oldest son (3 at the time) and he was hit by a car. He suffered some brain damage and he is now physically handicapped yet I swear, he's the brightest in that family. Anyways, they collected XXXthousand dollars. Her lawyer told her she was supposed to have a home built or buy one that's handicapped accessible and to buy a van. Do you know this AMOEBA went to disney world with the kids and a "friend" for 4 months and blew most of the money! Then came back and bought a luxury car (which she doesn't have now). Today, she has absolutely nothing to show for it. She constantly borrows money from my grandmother. Her drug dealer husband ended up in jail and a few months later, she had a another baby. She swears up and down it's her husbands but he looks nothing like the supposed father. She got married again a couple years ago. My grandmother and mother paid for the ghettofied wedding in the lobby of the Holiday Inn. She had baby number 5. A few months later, husband number 2 was jailed for child abuse. Her water, electricity, and phone is sometimes on and sometimes off.
Some time after her husbands arrest, she had a little cookout at a local park, but we all noticed the oldest child...the handicapped one...was missing. She admitted that she purposely left him at home by himself for pooping on himself. Let me break it down: She left a retarded child under the age of 11 at home in the dark with no water, no phone, and no electricity for something he had no control over.
Anyways, when she got back home from the cook out, the police were at her house. The child she left at home had enough sense to go next door and call the police to report child abuse. DSS has taken custody of all five of her children. Her 2nd husband is now out of jail and they are expecting child #6 which DSS will probably take as well. Wanda is still in community college working on becoming a nurse. Just the other day she drove over my grandmother's house followed by a policeman. She had filled her gas tank up and when she tried to pay for it, her credit card was declined so she had to drive to my grannie's to get $15. My mother has beef with her for pestering my grandmother and for trying to hook me up with her womanizer brother-in-law. She's fat, sneaky, nasty, lazy, slothful, sloppy, selfish, stinky, and sorry. Yet, she claims to be soooo religious that she plans on becoming ordained into the "ministry"....baptist churches beware!
I have several family members like this and at least 4 family members who are seriously crazy on medication and stuff. There are 2 or 3 drunks and one crackhead. This is all on my mother's side. I think I'm the only normal one in my family My father's side on the other hand are mostly well-off college educated deacons, ministers, pastors, bishops, and evangelists. Go figure.

Sisterfriend NowOrNever, I agree we've all got them, but I have heard of no one like your cousin. I can't believe all of that can happen to one person in one lifetime, and I pray that she gets her walk with God right if she sincerely wants to go into the ministry.

Since I had all that to say, I may as well speak on my relative. I've got several - especially on my dad's side. The one that takes the cake is my ghetto (but nowhere near ghettofabulous) third cousin Veronica. She's about 20 years old and has 2 kids. She dropped out of school in 9th grade, has been fired from several fast food jobs, and has no real plans to do any better for herself. (I would love to try to save her, but what's the point if she doesn't want to save herself?) Veronica hangs around my first cousin who is disturbingly fake, stuck on herself, and thinks the world revolves around her. I give her credit for being successful in the real estate game, but she's got issues like everyone else.

The kicker between these two opposites: Veronica looks up to my cousin because she has money, a fabulous house, and a great lifestyle. Veronica's solution to gaining a luxurious lifestle like our cousin's was not to return to school or even work hard. This dumb broad gave up her first child to foster care because "he cost her too much money". The second child came along after she gave up the first, and she's no better with this one. My first cousin could possibly have more influence than anyone else in helping Veronica correct her ways and be a more responsible person, but they just hang out together. It's just sad, sad, sad.

2. An aunt who is nosey, will gossip about you as soon as she hangs up the phone, hates black people (that's some self hate issues right there,) and has no life.

I had
3. A naive great uncle

Stupid uncle----He's been working at the post office over 15 years and has a live in girlfriend who he's been with for almost 13 years. He accepted her children and claimed them as his own, putting them on his insurance and everything. Collectively they make well over 80 thousand yearly but he begs me for money. He asked my mom for money and she was like looka here, the bank is now closed so he moved on to me. He asked me for 20 dollars and at the time I was only working part time and going to school. I gave him the money and the next week he was coming over to pay. Well he had the twenty in his hand so I grabbed the other end. Why didn't he let the twenty go? It was like we were playing tug of war with the money and he was like um look here Lil Sugga (that's his nickname for me) let me hold this twenty to next week. I said damn why did you come by then?! How you gon' borrow the borrowed money? His girlfriend is worse with money than he is. He went outside one morning and her car was gone. He called the police to report the car stolen and she let him. Come to find out, she took her title to the title loan place to borrow money and didn't pay them. You don't pay, they come and take your car. Then she bought a Lincoln which she has now I think if it's not repo'ed. She is behind on two notes so she asked my aunt who is nosey, will gossip about you as soon as she hangs up the phone, hates black people, and has no life.

2. Ok let's move on to that nosey aunt who gossips. My uncle's girlfriend called her for 400 dollars because she was behind on her notes...but she was only asking for one note. As soon as my aunt hung up the phone she then called everybody she could gossiping and said the famous words "girl don't tell nobody I told you but...." She's the kind of aunt that will save you in a financial bind but you will never live it down because she will tell everyone how without her you wouldn't have survived.

3. My naive great uncle married a wife who was 20 years younger than he. She was a gold digger to the 20th power. She was a saleswoman at a department store and she didn't have much. Finding my uncle was like hitting the lottery. She drove an old Chevette and wore more makeup than Tammy Faye Baker and the pink haired lady on TBN. Anyway let me tell you what she did to my uncle. My uncle had a Lincoln so she decided she needed an Infiniti. So she got it. Later on my uncle got sick. Do you know she GAVE her son my uncle's car and told my uncle when you need to get around you can use the Chevette. Anyway as he began to get sicker she told him she wanted the bedroom by herself and he could take the other one. Do you know she got a security system on the house and it was a partial one? Everything she valued and was bought with my uncle's money was under the security system but the part of the house where he stayed in wasn't secured. He loved her till the day he died and she got the majority of his money and she's still receiving checks as I type this. But when you don't do right by people you will get yours 100 fold, trust that!


Why are the men in my family so stupid? A gold digger's dream.

this Thanksgiving was a HOT mess. My cousin got into a fight at the dinner table with my uncle and worse yet, while we were saying grace, THE DOG FARTED and he was near the table.


The turkey smelled and no one wanted to eat for an hour. I just said screw it and went home.

I have a great aunt (who often babysat me) who's half black and half hispanic, she ABSOLUTELY cannot stand black people. When were like in the car we drive by other black people, she blurts out "NIGGGGGGS!". She said she'll never live in all black neighborhood. I distinctly remember when she babysat me she REFUSED to fix my hair in braids, not even one. I can go on and on.

I'll never forget this, when I was like 15, she invited my family over for thanksgiving. While we were getting our eat on, we heard our great uncle say "call the police! aunt ******* pulled a gun out on me!". CTFU!

Did your uncle live in Oklahoma because that EXACT same situation happened to a friend of mine! That ole girl was straight TRIFLING!! but like you said, it will come back on her 100 fold to the 10th power.

Ok, I don't really have any WEIRD family, that I am aware of. Except for my white, lazy-a$$, Beggin' a$$, won't gett a job, a$$, ain't had a job since I met her a$$, fat, unattractive, broke-a$$, all she wanted was a mixed baby, illetirate, strangy-haired, won't get off welfare, sitting at home, bonbon eating, heifer of an ex sister-in-law!

Y'all this skank ain't worked a day in her life and she is 26. Every time she ATEMPTED to work, she would quit the same day, talking 'bout her back hurt from sitting down all day or her feet hurt from standing up as a cashier all day . Then she has the nerve to complain to my brother that she does not have enough money to take care of my nephew. She calls my bother constantly at work, at home, etc. Its to the point now where he will not even ansewer the phone. Y'all this binch:

1. lives at home with her parents
2. gets over $500 a month from welfare for my nephew (did I mention that the skank WILL NOT get a job? Its mofos like her that abuse the system )
3. gets $250 month in child support

Ok, and why for Thanksgiving, she wouldn't bring my nephew over my mom's house to be with us (the Negro side of the family) because, and I quote " Well, I need to know what you guys will be doing over there first." My mom got on the phone and checked that binch and what do you know....guess who shows up 15 minutes later! I couldn't even speak to her. All i wanted to do was throw my potato salad at her dumb a$$.

I feel so sorry for my brother. Even when he moves on and maybe gets married, this binch will be nothing but TROUBLE!

Lawd I don't think I know where to start, but I will do a long story short version...

My sister was Miss Soul Glo, Afro Pic Power to the people type of woman, so in 1994 she moves to Florida and marries a caucasion. Lawd Hammercy..........What a mess. I have no problem with her marrying a caucasion man, but get someone decent and respectable. Nothing worse than PWT! So they are two broke fools with no more than nickels to rub together. She works, he doesn't!

Then you have my niece, with three kids and 1 baby daddy. Neither of them work, because they don't feel they need to or want to. She almost got her car repossed, the car was equivalent to Smokey's car on Friday and the repo people were at my sisters house looking for money for that contraption.


I had one aunt RIP, who was that mean aunt that no one wanted to visit and no one liked her(I think just about every family has one) Aunt Juanita used to be the one at all the family functions lookin at errybotties dam plate checking to see how much food they had and always had a comment if SHE felt there was too much food on the plate. Now mind you, these functions were always at my grandmothers house and Granny always cooked the food.

All of us cousins had a thing about crackin on mothers. So my brother made this crack that pretty much shut down cracking on mothers night. My cousins were getting good ones on my mother, so my brother comes out and said Aunt Lizzy is so BALLHEADED SHE CURLS HER HAIR WITH FISHBONES...My grandmother even laughed at that one but no one had the nerve to tell my aunt the joke, they would just look at her hair and die laughing.

The thieves of my family, well lets just say that I had to really watch my purse at my grandfathers funeral and make sure all my jewelry was still on after I took pics with some of them.

Well at this point, I'm just COMPLETELY FED UP with MY crazy family member. It's my youngest sister. To be quite honest, I REALLY and TRULY believe that she is BIPOLAR, on drugs, or just plain ole' CRAZY...for real.

I'm 8 years older than she is and we just have NEVER clicked. This GIRL is pure GHETTO. It's like we don't have the same blood running through us. This girl does things like pick arguements with CHILDREN. My oldest sister, brother, and I don't even trust this chick with OUR children. The night before last, she actually HIT my oldest sister. Now that might not sound like such a big deal, but this chick is like FOUR MONTHS PREGNANT, has one child (3 years old), and married (with SERIOUS domestic violence issues...mainly on HER part). She's gone as far as to actually hit her husband with her CAR. She's also SLAPPED him because she said that he didn't ACT like he wanted to get her some ice water. WHAT???!!!!! Yes, ya'll she just does not care. It's ALWAYS some drama with her. ALWAYS!! On top of that, she's a KNOWN BULLY in our neighborhood back home. She curses like a sailor, lies like a rug (you had better BELIEVE that you can't trust ANYTHING that she tell you because she's been caught in SO many lies), and loves to say "I'M GROWN". And the sad part is that we don't know WHERE she gets it from because my mother and father weren't and aren't like that and we weren't raised like that. She hasn't spoken to my brother for close to a YEAR now because he lives with and has a baby from a girl that SHE doesn't like (and she can't tell anyone WHY she doesn't like the girl). What's THAT all about?

My youngest sister is too STUPID, IMMATURE, and CHILDISH for me ya'll. She's the type of person who can dish it out, but she can't take it. She's always ready to fight when you say something to her that she doesn't like (which is why she hit my oldest sister). I just feel so sorry for those children. She once asked me why I never call her. And I told her that she's not ready to hear what I have to say. She's not mature or strong enough to take it. And THAT'S the truth. So, 9 times out of 10 we don't have anything to talk about...not even during the holidays.

I just don't deal with her AT ALL. She gets into it all of the time with my oldest sister and my brother, but she KNOWS not to mess with ME because I'd fight her like someone on the street. God knew EXACTLY what He was doing when He moved me, my husband, and my children to Richmond.

Gosh, I COULD tell ya'll some stories, but there's not EVEN enough space on this ENTIRE FORUM to do so.

Don't worry, fellow GCers, no ONE person is alone when it comes to THIS topic. NO ONE!!!

No he lived in Memphis. He was my uncle on my mother's side and no one talks to his wife to this day. At the funeral, we didn't allow her to sit up front with the family and she didn't try either. Don't start none won't be none. I agree with Korkscru, no one is alone or exempt when it comes to this topic.
