I'm not Canadian but one of my best friends is, so:
True patriot love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
I know there are more Canadians on the board so I am sure they can finish it off. Oh, and I love the Maple Leafs. Go Leafs!

Here is our great national anthem in all it's glory!
O Canada!
Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
From far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
I'm sure I'm the only Canadian who's sitting at home tonight...everyone else is probably out partying and enjoying fireworks....me, I'm enjoying a strawberry margarita while relaxing on my patio...but if I had the choice, I would be home with my friends, partying it up!
Happy birthday Canada!

Don't worry you aren't - I've been celebrating the whole weekend up at Whistler, so tonight I'm staying in - however I may go down to the beach in a few hours to watch the fire works...

I'm at home too. no partying here. Bu t I did go to the parade today (bit of a disappointment) and got free cake at the river yum!
Fireworks were last Thursday...that was fun.
It's so hot today, I thought I'd get heat stroke riding my bike home after the parade!!
Your fellow Canadian,

CANADA DAY
Last time I was in Canada visiting an old friend from back in high school I was challenged to sing the National Anthem. Naturally I began "Oh say can you see..."
I was quickly told, "No, not that one"
So I started off again with "God save our gracious Queen, long live our noble Queen..."
I think they were getting really torqued until I mentioned that after spending part of my life in the UK and part of it in the US it seemed natural that I would think of those as ...
I was told OK, one more chance, to which I responded by singing out "Allons enfants de la patrie..."
At that point I noticed half the room joined in and the rest were muttering something about "get a rope".
We had a great time, but as the Duke of Wellington said about Waterloo, "It was a damned close run thing!"
Anyway, and in all sincerity, my very best wishes and fraternal regards to all my Canadian Greek brothers and sisters on Canada Day, and further with sincerity, God Save Canada, God Save the Queen!

Nods to a stellar Canada day.
Damn it was hot as hell yesterday, but i toughed it out as i cruised through the market and hit the Hill with 50,000 other canucks.
Good fireworks this year.

Tried to post earlier, but Happy Birthday to my CANUCK Brothers and Sisters North of the Border of the USA.
If you read Clive Cussler, according to the North American Ttreaty during Woodrow Wilsons Presidency, You are part of the USA!
But again we let the sleeping hounds lay!
