Becoming Alum...
How do you become an alumn??? What do you have to do?? Can an alumn chapter "reject" you?? (excuse the lack of a better word)
Just wondering because I will soon need to go alumn. I was looking at the Houston Alumnae Chapter. I hope to get involved there in Aug.
Any suggestions/comments?? Advice????????
AOE,
Ronnie

Okay, so I am going to go to school back at home for this fall semester, but will be transferring back to St. Mary's in the spring (where I joined Alpha Phi). There is no A-Phi chapter at the school I am going to go to this fall, so does that mean I will be considered an alum when I get back to St. Mary's in the spring?

No. You are just taking a semester off from being active in your chapter. Talk to your chapter advisor about your plans this summer.

ivy connection?
Hi, I just found this thread and don't know if anyone reads it anymore. I just transferred to a school which doesn't have greek life. I really want to stay involved with alpha phi and emailed the DC ivy connection. I haven't heard back and was wondering if anyone could give me any advice on how to transition to being an alum and what steps I will need to take to do that.
love & aoe,
Rachel

Aphidancer,
Just an FYI I found out from this weekend, the DC Ivy Connection contact has been super busy with graduate school. They are looking for someone to take over, but no one has stepped up yet.
I'm not sure where you are, but Baltimore and Northern VA do have chapters, which I am looking into as other possibilities myself (it all depends if i move this year).

I did alum activities for a while, until I started law school. However, everyone that graduated from my chapter was also in my alum group. It was super fun

Were you involved with the Raleigh AC? I'm thinking of moving down there (in a while, at least a year and a half away), and I'm curious about the group. All of exec seemed really young, more like an ivy connection. Is that true?
