Greek life at ECU
Hi...I was just wondering if anyone could give me insiders information of Greek Life at East Carolina University. I will be attending in the fall as a freshman and my mom is encouraging me to rush. I know ECU is a big party school, and from what I see on TV and stuff it seems that being in a sorority would encourage me to party extra hard, but from what I've read on this board, it will give me a well rounded college experience. SO what is it really like?
I have heard from people that I went to high school with that the greek world at ECU is very exclusive...meaning they only hang out with each other, and I have also heard that there are a few outcast sororities that no one likes! Why?
Also, I have read that rush is really competitive in the south...is this true for ECU?
I need to know the real deal before I sign up for rush...could someone from ECU please give me some info! Thanks!
