Thumbs up Sorors in Crowns....AGAIN!!!!
Sorors, I have wonderful news! On this past Saturday, Soror Denae Battle from the Lambda Alpha Chapter was crowned Miss Black Langston University! But..it gets better! In January of 2002, Soror Leah Hendricks was crowned Miss Langston University! So sorors, we have two new sorors in crowns! Also, Miss Langston Univeristy 2001-2002 was Soror Nitia Harris! She was extremely pleased to give her crown to a fellow soror!

Sorors, the Blue and White Family is taking over Langston University. We now have a Sigma as the President of The Student Government Assoc., a Sigma as SGA Activities Coordinator, a Sigma as Pan-Hellenic Council President, and myself as the Pan-Hellenic Secretary for the upcoming school year! So sorors, rest assured that Blue Fam is representing in Oklahoma!!!

CRONGRATS ON ZPB winning the titles!!

One question.....Why is there a Miss Black Langston Univ and then a Miss Langston Univ? I've only heard of this happening at predominately/historically white universities. The last time i visisted Langston (which was about 4 years ago) I still saw a lot of african americans there.

Also at Fort Valley State College in Georgia the new Queen and Student gov. president are both Zetas !

The Ladies of Zeta Phi Beta are truly representing. Soror Jasmine Jones was named Miss University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff this spring.

The titles of Miss Langston University and Miss Black Langston University are different. Both are scholarship pageants, and the winners both live in the Honor's apartments. However, Miss LU goes to the Miss Oklahoma pageant and Miss Black LU goes to the Miss Black Oklahoma pageant. And yes dear, Langston is STILL a predominately BLACK school.....HBCU..the only one in Oklahoma!
