Talking unlv greek week champs!!!

ok im am so happy that my sisters of the theta eta chapter of unlv have won GREEK WEEK! i am so proud that greek unity prevailed over corruption. we worked every day and night to get everything ready for greek week and was so prepared that we knew that we had a chance. the greek week theme was "holiday havoc" and certain days were certain themes. i say "corruption", because the person who was in charge of greek week was from xyz sorority and she would give them extra points out of no where and also, they changed the rules to better there chance of winning. so after showcase where all the groups perform a halloween skit, (which sk got 1st place) we submitted a detailed letter indicating the problems with greek week. so i truly feel GREEK UNITY prevailed over corruption!!!!oh yeah and our former pres along with the former pres of agd got an award for making both chapters have better relations with each other, which wouldnt have happen if it wasnt for them. so congrats agd and i love my SIGMA KAPPA SISTERS
LIS,
SIGKAPQUEEN

Congrats SigKapQueen!!!

We just finished our Greek Week here in the LBC too!!!
Here are our results:

Greek Sing: Second Place (we should have won though )
Participation: 1st Place
Spirit:1st Place

And on top of that our Executive Vice President was named Hera (in other words Queen of Greek Week)

We were paired with Phi Kappa Tau and we kicked some serious tail!!!

Love in the Dove,
Lil Snakey K

We also just finished up Greek Week at the University of Akron.
Greek Olympics was on Sunday the 21st....and along with it, came the rain. BOOO! So we sat outside freezing and wet but having fun. Activities were great, but the one that is the most competitive is Tug-O-War. It is always between us and ADPi. Last year they beat us 2 out of 3....but this year it was time for DG to win. We went undefeated throughout the whole competition!!!!! Plus having to come back from behind both times!
We also won the banner competition, the bowling tournament, the limbo contest. We got to listen to Judy Shepard on Tuesday speak about her son Matthew and her thoughts and views on hate. It was great!
Last Saturday was our Greek Recognition Formal at the Radisson. We had our awards presentation and DeeGee recieved three.....Most Panhellenic, Outstanding Campus Involvement, and Most Improved Chapter. We also have something else to brag about...(well at least I do)....because I won the Thomas J. Vukovich Order of Omega Award along with Outstanding Junior Member in the Greek System. Lets just say...I knew I was up for them but I didn't expect to get them, especially not BOTH of them!
We ended up raising over $2700 for the March of Dimes.....good job everyone!
