ZTA is number 1!
Hey there ladies!
I just thought I would let all of you know that my chapter won Derby Days again this year on my campus! We were a little worried but we came through and we rised a lot of food, clothing, and money for a good cause. I just thought I would share that with all of you even though it was like two weeks ago. That's great that you won DERBY DAYS. My college does not have derby days, but we won GREEK WEEK for the second year in a row!

Okay, I have a question... What are Derby Days?
Obviously my school didn't have them.

Hi girls...
sorry to intrude on your forum, but I have a question...
do you, or did you, have a chapter at Ohio State University? I know someone who claimed she was president of her chapter there, but I looked on your national website, and can't find any record of an OSU chapter.
Thanks!

Yep. Alpha Zeta chapter at Ohio State University is noted as closed. When or why I don't know.

Derby days is put on by Sigma Chi, and all the sororities on campus compete to win Derby Days. There are different events and you gain so many points for each one. The sorority with the most points wins. We compete in such things like: clothing drive, food drive, best Jar, Best house theme, kick ball and that about sums it up.

Well, it's competitive like Greek Week but not quite as big. It's more of a philanthropy that gets everyone involved just because it's so much fun. Sigma Chi is divided up into teams. Each team represents a sorority. Every Sigma Chi wears a hat (a derby). The sororities spend the week trying to get steal the derbys from an opposing team. That's one of the areas we compete in. There's others such as tug-of-war, can food drives, etc. It's a lot of fun.
