Larger than some

Okay, the backless bra thread got me thinking:
I know the grass is always greener but hear me out...
I would love to know what it is like to not have to spend $50 or $70 on a bra that will last for more than a year.
I cannot wear those adorble shirts that girls wear, and tank tops that don't have a strap at least an inch wide never get bought by me.
Backless bras, strapless bras and duct tape are NEVER an option for me... I end up going without and hoping that my age gives me some lift... and my dress is tight enough when I adjust they stay for awhile..
Adjusting your breasts is not allowed in public yet they don't stay put in your bra sometimes...
and even worse than that- you cannot find bras that actually look attractive to a man unless you have a C or smaller cupsize.

Okay, I just wanted to see if anyone else can feel my pain. I love those cute looks express and gap have and those shirts that tie around the neck with little strings, but who in the real world can wear those? I haven't been able to since I was 12!

AACK! I need $5000 dollars for a surgery...

I feel your pain...there just isn't anything to do about it.

Women that can wear anything are the lucky ones...not so much me, but I do pretty well without!

Wacoal makes a minimizer bra that workers wonders for the women who are C's and bigger.

Wacoal makes pretty bras for C and larger as well.

But the prettiest, IMO, as pretty as "smaller" bras are Felina. Really pretty, feminine stuff up to DD.

Some of it also depends on your body fat percentage. You would be surprised how quickly cup sizes can drop (often toa girl's dismay) through diet and excercise.

James - lol - we have gone through this before. Some small and medium size ladies still have big ones. Its genetic.

I feel the pain too - I see those cute little backless shirts, and my motto is - if I dont own a bra that works with the shirt/dress - I dont buy it. I could go without a bra, but I dont want to look like a porn star. I want that $5000 surgery too - my ideal size is a small C

ilovemyglo, I hear ya!!!! I buy tank tops with spaghetti straps (cause I like them) but I always have bra straps showing. I really don't care if anyone doesn't like that, but there is NO way that I'm ever gonna try those shelf bras alone! I'd be flopping in the wind! And I also don't care about fixing my boobs in public! I know it's not very acceptable, but I'd rather take the two seconds and put them back in then end up with the "four boob" syndrome (as my husband calls it!)

What really gets me is when I talk to my friends who are B or C cups and they keep saying they want to get implants! Why?! So what if you have bigger boobs? Big deal....you also get perennial back pain, more expensive bras (which are also not as attractive in my mind), a harder time finding bras that actually fit, constantly adjusting boobs to stay in the bra, etc! It sucks! I don't know why anyone would voluntarily want to put themselves in the hell I go through daily!

One of my friends freaked when I said this and said, "Why not get a reduction then if you don't like it?" Well, I had a friend who had a reduction in high school and she was in so much pain for months afterward (not to mention she's also back up to the same size after having 2 kids.....pretty much a waste of time for her!) I hate pain and I couldn't do the surgery that's for sure....well, that and I know my husband wouldn't let me reduce the "girls"....he loves my big boobs!

And James is right, with proper diet and exercise you can lose a cup size! Before my wedding I went on a huge diet (I lost almost 40 lbs) and I went from a DD cup to a D (hee hee...I got a new bra wardrobe too!) So it is possible to reduce "naturally"!

Okay, my boob rant is done!

AMEN!!!

You forgot about sports! Wear the wrong type of bra and you can wind up with black eyes!

My friend had reduction surgery. She was thrilled with the results. Since she had back problems as a result of her large breasts, insurance covered the cost of most of it. She wound up paying $15. FYI, sometimes nursing is not possible or more difficult as a result of this type of surgery.

I had a KD sister that had the surgery and it turned out great, she looks amazing and can wear cute underwear now!

Body fat doesn't really play a part that much. I'm a Yo-Yo diet girl and that part doesn't change for me, not to mention my real sister is lucky to weight 105lbs soaking wet and is larger than me in that area! She's a bit top heavy and looks like on a windy day will have issues standing, but gets much attention for them.

I just have to join in the rant about, ahem, "larger" sizes.

Yes... exercise does play some part, but it doesn't change the fact that some of us have super big ones, and some have super small ones, and a few lucky girls just get to have medium size ones. When I am regularly going to the gym/exercising I notice maybe a 1/2 cup size decrease. My sister works out constantly, and has a smaller body type than me anyways... and she's still quite endowed, too.

I have 2 friends who had reduction surgery.. both are so happy with it! I am considering looking into what my insurance covers, if anything. But don't know where I'll find the time to take off work, etc. if it is covered.

I do appreciate the advice on nice bras that actually hold up longer than a year, though... they can be so difficult to find good ones in anything larger than a C!!

I'll jump into the excerise v cup size rant too.

the most I've ever weighed is 10 pounds more than I do now. The least I've ever weighed (since age 22 at least) is 5 pounds less than I do now.

The ONLY time I saw a change in size is when I went on the pill, then, to my delight I LOST weight and to my horror GAINED a cup size.

All I want is to NOT LOOK LIKE A PORN STAR damnit! :P

One of my best friends wears an F cup. I kid you not. (Sorry, guys, she's married ) She just lives with it... I think she gets her bras from Victoria's Secret, which makes some nice "beyond C cup" bras.

I'm convinced that "size" is genetic.

My ex-wife grew to a 34 DD after our baby. They never went back to a D cup. Her straps were cutting into her shoulders trying to hold them up. Her reduction was covered by insurance and she was quite happy with the results.
