Fun House Rivalries (FIJI <-> AGRs)

At oregon state University, We, The FIJIs have a little rivalry with our backyard neighbors, the AGRs.

We happend to get get First in Grades , they got second.
However, they won KDs MockRock (its huge!), and we got a trophy that looked exactly like thiers for "Most spirit" - but we did win the talent show part.

We do all kinds of things with them, one night it was around midnight and we all decided to see which house could make more noise. We broke out our Potato Gun , they climbed to the top of thier house and shot 4-5 rifle blanks into the air in unicin.

Its soo fun having a rival on campus to compete against, and then when the competiton is over, you can all get together and BBQ and kick back.

Man....Ours doesn't. I want to start one though. Sigma Pi is an interest group, (we were the only ones who voted "yes" for IFC expansion) and might be a few years getting here. Sigma Chi would be good rivals, but their new guys seem to be...I don't know. Kappa Sig and us used to have a heated rivalry. Won't go into detail. But I'm friends/aquaintenses/associates..well whatever, i know like five or six out of the eight that just were iniated last night (same as our guys) and that would be cool. But houses no greek row here so are far away.

I know that the Fijis and Betas at Auburn have a pledge class football game each year. They play for like 2,000-3,000 dollars. The Betas have won for the past 10 years or so. They have pictures of the teams framed on their walls, its pretty cool.

At UMD, Theta Tau is pretty much neutral. TKEs and Delt Sigs have the rivalry, because they are the only social fraternities on campus! In past years Greek Week has been big between them. This year it was too, but they all partied together at the Greek Week party, which was really cool. As for the girls, Phi Sigs are usually neutral, but more siding with Phi Mu. Our rivalry is with D Phi E. During Formal Recruitment it gets kinda tense, but we're all nice to each other (Panhel Friendly!!) and Greek Week is really bad. We're both out there to win, but Phi Mu is more or less out there to just have fun. Tension was high at the Greek Week party, but last nite at the Delt Sig graffiti party, we all got along which was really cool. I wish it could always be like that cuz I really like some of the Deephers!
