Question All My Life's a Circle

Hi Sisters,

Recently I was at work, at the Boys and Girls Club, and we were talking about camp songs. One of my co-workers sang the "All my Life's a Circle" Song, word for word. I thought it was a Sigma Alpha original, but I guess it's a common camp song. Does anybody have the actual tune music so our chapter and others can learn the right tune??

Actually, one of the members on National Board has it on tape. I thought it was just a Sigma Alpha Song too, but John Denver sang it quite well.

Sisters,
Robin

Today I searched on the Barnes and Noble music listing for almost and hour looking at every John Denver CD they have and could not locate this song. Does anyone know what CD it is on, or if it is by a different name??

Thanks

John Denver - Really?

Which Board member has a copy? I've done some e-mailing with a couple of presidents of different John Denver Fan Clubs, and they know nothing about this song. I sent them the title, and then the complete lyrics in case he had it recorded under another title.

It sounds like our first Sigma Alpha Urban Legend! (What singer "supposedly" recorded the Circle Song?) So who has the tape - and the proof - that it happened? Could it have been James Taylor, I think he and John Denver sound alike. Is there anybody else who's voice could have been confused with John Denver?

I wanted to let you all know the version that a few of us on NB have of the sorority song is by Harry Chapin and titled "Circle". I noticed last night after digging out the tape I have that one or two words are different. We had the tape version when I was active member that was always used for fun or special events.

sisters,
Jennifer

I went out and bought the CD. It's great. The rest of the words in the song are awesome. It definitely has a 70's sound, but it's a cool song.

Thanks again for all the great investigative work!
