Lightbulb Sisterhood

My chapter needs to improve our sisterhood... Is there anyone out there that has some good sisterhood activities that will get everyone involved????

Do a scrapbook party. Everyone could get together and make a book. also if you have old sccrapbooks from past yrs that are falling apart have girls get in groups and make pages out of these pics for a house scrapbook. alumnae really enjoy stuff like that- they want to know their stuff is in good hands.
Movie/ friends night is always fun!
We have a problem getting girls to come to stuff even though they can be put on social probation if they don't make points for hte month. We had a scrapbook party and only three sisters showed up and two of them planned it- the sisterhood chair and a sister who's older sister does creative memories.
I was at work and couldn't come and it was my lil sis's bday. I really did think it sounded like a lot of fun though!

Thanks!! I am actually planning one on how to cover photo albums... but a scrapbooking sisterhood sounds like a lot of fun. Attendance seems to be a problem with my chapter too... what is with these girls??? Maybe they just need to realize that they're missing some fun stuff... Thanks a lot!

When you are going to mixers or campus events, always meet at the house beforehand and go in together - you get more excited for whatever is happening and it is really impressive to see everyone walk in together instead of just trickling in sister by sister. We also had a thing that we always watched Days or whatever soap everyone is into at the house together on Friday, it got everyone excited to go out and have fun together all weekend.

I have never understood why people pay to be in a sorority and then never go to anything. Try a system where if they do not make X amount of points, they are not permitted to go to the semester formal or semi-formal. If it happens 2 semesters in a row, present their name for termination. Cut the dead weight. It's a drain on the chapter and the sorority nationally.

Thumbs up sisterhood

Well I just had a suggestion that worked for our chapter,
We had a tie dying night where everyone had to bring a white shirt and then we tie dyed them our colors. Then we ordered pizza and waited for them to dry. We used them as shirts for homecomming. It was a lot of fun plus we got to know people a lot better. Other ideas, you could do a sister game... Similar to the Newlywed game but you have two people teams and then they challenge others if you e-mail me I can give you questions. My e-mail is sdbiwitw@yahoo.com. another one is "Freinds w/ friends" watch a show together or go to a movie. we also did a huge twister tournament. Sorry this is long but these ideas helped with us.
