Question How old is your fraternity/sorority?

I'm bored, so I'm asking Post when your GLO was founded, where, and it's "rank" if you know it.

Delta Upsilon was founded in 1834 at Williams College and is the 6th oldest fraternity in North America.

Zeta Tau Alpha was founded in 1898 at Longwood College. It is the 3rd largest sorority right behind Chi Omega and Delta Zeta.

The Eta Kappa chapter was founded at UCF in 1971...UCF's first sorority!!!

gammazetagrl,

Unfortunately our first Chapter is not active anymore either. Not too happy about that. Our chapter was the 15th DU chapter founded, but is currently the 5th oldest. Just goes to show how easy it is for a chapter to become inactive.

Kappa Kappa Gamma debuted on October 13, 1870. Our Alpha chapter is still there at Monmouth College, though I'm pretty sure it left and came back.

Alpha Gamma Delta was established on May 30, 1904 and this year we celebrated our 97th Anniversary.

AGD was the last of the "Syracuse Three" (AGD, Gamma Phi Beta, and Alpha Phi) founded at Syracuse University. Our Alpha chapter is still there!

Alpha Chi Omega was founded in 1885 at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. Its Alpha Chapter is still extant, and has a beautiful house!

This is totally off topic PsiU, but I had the opportunity to visit your HQ last fall. It has a great design, and I love the board room with all of the chapter crests hanging along the wall!

ZTA, as already stated, was found in 1898 at Longwood College in Farmville, VA. We are one of the Farmville Four, along with KD, Tri-Sig, and Alpha Sigma Alpha. I haven't met any of the sisters from alpha chapter, but at a Jimmy Buffett concert, I met some Pi Kapps from Longwood. They told me alpha chapter was going strong, and that the rest of us Zetas would definitely be proud of them.

Pi Kappa Phi was founded here at the College of Charleston in 1904. I am friends with all the guys at alpha chapter. They were reorganized in 1999, and were down to 15 guys. But now, in the span of 3 formal rushes, they are up to 60, and are one of the leading fraternities on campus.
