recruitment, COB and Public Relations

Okay guys, I really need your help. The chapter that I'm working with really needs some ideas in the above areas. Not just the normal ideas. I'm talking about thinking out of the box. Some stats; Large University, small greek population, city location. ONe of the three smallest out of 11 others. ANY ideas would be appreciated as I will be taking over the MRA position in our area next year and there is another chapter with lower numbers that i will be working with. (I'm assisting Linette right now). PM me if you have to! I think I will post this in the larger forum as well for more responses.

Hey Cheyenne! I didn't get the One Voice ceremony yet, but I modified it slightly to work for us for now. I will PM you with the details

As for PR and recruitment, one thing that is always important is not just inviting women to come to your COBs, but letting them know you are active and out there on campus. Send out little cards to all freshmen women wishing them luck on midterms, or have a coffee/cookie station at the dorm during reading days to meet and greet freshmen women. Have members of your chapter sign up to be orientation leaders, and meet the women BEFORE they are at school. This way, you get first dibs

On an easier note to keep your name out there...if you have a campus newspaper that has little classified ads, take out some, and put in congratulations to your new members. Congratulate seniors on graduation. Have big sisters put ads in wishing their little sisters luck during new member orientation. These are relatively cheap, and at least on my campus, were really the only part of the paper people read

If you need anything else, feel free to PM me!

It's a large campus so that really isn't a possibility for notecards, but we have been working, alot!
lol
They are trying ads but it is kind of expensive for them, but they are putting forth an amazing effort!!!!

Maybe they can make signs and post them around campus in the dining halls and student union announcing our Founder's Day. They might need university pemission to hang them. They can use purple or gold paper and paint or markers. Hopefully there are some artistic sisters who can paint unicorns, our crest, and irises! They can have weekly letter days with dinners in the dining halls.

Maybe they can have a dance in a place that's accessible to everyone. I don't know how that campus works, but we had a university union with a huge room that could hold hundreds of people. They could rent a room, decorate it in purple and gold, and sell snacks and soda. They can recruit d.j.s or bands to volunteer their skills. They can charge a fee and donate a portion to C.F. It could have a spring break theme with prizes and refreshments donated by local merchants. Just a suggestion! Good luck!
