confused...

I am really confused, and I am hoping that someone can help me... I am a new pledge, not yet initiated into Alpha Gam and I feel really weird... there are 7 of us to be initiated and I feel that maybe the girls don't like me as much as the others... am I just being crazy? I don't know, but it is proving to be hard for me to really get involved with non-required social activities, but I don't want it to be that way at all... can someone please help me figure out what to do? Thank you.

I think its probably a total figment of your imagination.

Why would you feel that they dont Like you as much as the others??? What exactly do they do or say to make you feel this way?

I would continue to be yourself and just continue to be involved in sorority activities. After all, they chose you to be an AGD so they must love you. Its only nature that some people are going to bond closer together than others. Youve got ppl in houses who dont even necessarily like each other. But it doesnt mean that your any less important to the sisters then another. Who knows maybe you havent become close to the sister who'll be your best friend yet Worst comes to worst and Im sure it wont, just ask them if they have a problem with you (i know its easier said then done).

To reiterate the last comment, you probably are just imagining this. But, just to be sure, have you done anything to make any of the girls dislike you? Maybe shown up having had a little too much to drink at a party or something similar? I'm sure the answer is no because you WERE picked to be an Alpha Gam & we have high standards, but just checking. If the answer is yes, then address the situation to the other sisters and it should clear the air.

Also, if you're just feeling a little on the outside, don't worry...it'll pass. Naturally you will pick best friends out of this group of girls, not be immediate best buddies with all of them. You probably just haven't met your group yet, don't worry it'll happen. Also, after you are initiated and as you participate more with chapter activities, you'll have more in common with the other girls...a common love for Alpha Gam! Again, don't worry. I'm sure most of us have been in your position at one time or another.

I am really sorry to hear about that hun. It sucks when you feel like your sisters aren't thre for you, esp when you are a new member adn they should be dying to hang out with all of you because you are so wonderful. (Why else would you be an Alpha Gam???) Just remember that there is a reason that they extended you a id and I am sure they do like you, maybe they are just unsure of how to comunicate with you or something (I dunno, it's an idea) my advice would be to just find your niche, find the girls who you feel connected to and that you think are being good to you. I have always found it surprising that a lot of times, the sisters you would never think you would be close to, you can end up being very close to. Just keep you head high, stay positive and wonderful, people will see that in you, just as they saw it when they decided to extend you a bid!!
