Rush is approaching...
Hi ladies,
My chapters recruitment is almost here. It begins Friday and ends Sunday. Bid day will be that Monday. I am very excited although somewhat nervous . This is my second semester and I have never gone through a formal recruitment. I am ready to bring in new girls to get an opprotunity to have the Alpha Phi experience. Mine has been great and I look forward to the many more memories. I ask my fellow sisters to please wish us luck!?!
Thank you!!
AOE,
Ronnie

Thanks
Thank you her-ma-neeta! I am glad that you are here sharing this with me. I am very happy that we had the opportunity to get so close.
To a Special Sister (Adri)
A sister is one of the nicest things that can happen to anyone.
She is someone to laugh with and share with,
to work with and join in the fun.
She is someone who helps in the rough times
and knows when you need a warm smile.
She is someone who will quietly listen
when you just want to talk for awhile.
A sister is dear to you always,
for she is someone who is always a part
of all the favorite memories
that you keep very close to your heart.

Awww, how cute! Thanks her-ma-neeta!!
My sister shares a part of me
that no one else shall ever see.
And when the days and miles divide us
the bond we have will live inside us.
Together sharing dreams, love and laughter
My sister for always, my friend forever.

Hey ladies! Just wanted to wish you the best of luck at St. Mary's. Formal rush can be both exciting and frustrating! Let us know how it goes and if you need to chat feel free to PM me.

Thanks Laura!
Ah, I can't wait for recruitment to start. I am so excited, yet super nervous! Some of our sisters from University of Texas at Austin are coming down to San Antonio to help out with recruitment! I think it is so great to have another A-Phi chapter just 1 hour north of San Antonio. We have not really hung out with the girls from UT many times before, but we are going to start visiting each other. I think it is great! We are hoping to go up for their recruitment, which is in August. Ah, can you feel the A-Phi love???

But thank you to all of the APhi sisters for their support and encouragement. A special THANK YOU to our sisters in Austin at UT. You all were great!

Just a little update...
We did pick up 8 girls through formal recruitment, like Veronica said. So far, we know of about 10-15 girls who are interested. We have major COBing to do! Tomorrow is our first COB event. Wish us luck!
We are super pleased with how recruitment has been going this semester. We are going to do awesome this semester!

Herm, I just ran across this thread and after reading this realized how at that time neither of us knew how quickly this would become true. I miss you.

The role that alums play depends upon the school. On some campuses alums can serve water or speak with the women on others they are not allowed on the rush floor. Talk to your sponsor and find out what the rules are at CSUSB.
