AGD Car License Plates
I know we talked about this before, but I wanted to bring it up again...
Does anyone have an AGD related license plate..the one with the "officiall" State logo, etc. on it
I am about to buy a new car..hopefully before the Stratus bites the dusts..and daydreaming about licenses...
I think Georgia has limit of 6 characters; unfortunately, I think I can only give 3 choices...here are some ideas I had:
AGDWGC ( I went to West Georgia College, now State Univ of...AGDUWG might be taken.)
AGD100 (I was the 100th Gamma Tau initiate.)
AGD ROS
AGD BUF (choosing a gold car)
RED BUF ( get it ?
SQUIRL
AG SQRL
Wish I could list 7 with a 7 character max!
Choosing the tag is almost as difficult as choosing the car. Right now the choices are Nissan Altima/Mazda 626/Toy. Camry...going to look at more tomorrow, but I'll try not to miss Chat!!
I truly wanted a Toy. Highlander but hubby isn't too thrilled with SUVs so he promised to get a truck next..which might be in a few months depending how his car goes.. If we didn't have to buy a 2nd car so soon, I'd go for the Maxima!!

Yay! good luck in the car shopping...I have a Camry and love it! it's very efficient.
I've noticed that some GA plates have 7 items- 3 letters and 4 #'s? Perhaps you CAN have 7 personalized letters on your tag?
How about : AGD SQL
When I first saw your topic I was thinking of the AGD plates that go around the tag or the AGD plate that goes in front of the car. I have both, but I can't put them on my car! For whatever reason the front of my car doesn't have the holes to attach it and license holder for the back only has 2 holes so when I put it on, my license is insecure! So back with the Atlanta Toyota plate holder!

I do have the green AGD license plate -- the whole plate is AGD -not what you fit your "real" lic. plate into. After I bought it, I realized my Stratus didn't have the correct fitting for the front..guess I won't buy that Camry now, lol!! (I did think of you as I was test driving, lol.)

Lynn,
The funny thing is-- alot of Camry's I've seen around have a place to put the front plates on!! Mine's just retarded.

Lynn, do you mean to say that you have an actual AGD license plate? Not holder surrounding the plate? How cool is that!
I have the holder, which I really like...the personalized plates will come later!

Maria,
I think Lynn means she has a solid green AGD plate with red letters. That's the only one I've seen. Mine is "metallic looking" -- though it just sits in my apt since I can't put it in my car!

In a few years I hope to trade in my Civic for a more expensive and better looking car...and it'll be then that I'll get my vanity plates. Hawaii has a max of 6 characters...so I'm gonna have to try to find a good AGD-related plate.
Until then, I'll just have to settle for my AGD license plate holder on the rear of my car.

Do your homework before buying your car.
My 99 Jetta has been a nightmare, something about the fact that that was the first year that they came out with the new models!

Right now, I'm driving hubby's 92 Civic. Stratus was in the shop since the Sat. before Christmas..new ignition wire, computer, etc. $530... Hubby drove it home and said it had the stutter again so back tomorrow it goes!!
My mechanic says that he may already have buyer for it, poor sucker, lol! Of course, 95-96 Dodge Stratus is a Consumer Report DON'T BUY!! lol
(On the way to pick up the car, I did see a 7-character Georgia license plate..will have to check out the DMV site.)
See ya later.!

I would choose AGDEPI; if I saw EPI370, it wouldn't click that it belonged to an AGD probably..depending on what kind of mood I was in.

Been thinking about this myself....
yeah I have been thinking too!
florida has a pretty plate with dolphins on it, but there is a 5 char limit, so I thought a nice AGD centered would do the trick!
but there is a state flower one too which has a 7 char. limit so I thought AGD 670 cause I was the 670th gam initiated at HPU.
BUT!!! on a side note, I wish florida had this, but I looked on an AKA thread, they have their own liscense plates in some states, I know there is a NY one and I think an ARK one too! I thought that would be cool to have! its the ACTUAL plate that goes on your car, it has their crest, sheild armoral bearings -whatever they call it and it has the state.
pretty cool huh, has anyone heard that we had one out in any states?

yeah I mean one with OUR letters and crest and all that good stuff, not an AKA plate, I know it sounded wrong......AKA is cool and all, but I would be a big dork driving around with another organization's liscense plate!
