I visited ucsb as a prospective student last year and now that I have been accepted I am thinking of rushing and eventually living in a house rather than a bad and expensive apartment in IV . What sorority has the nicest house on a quiet street away from the party scene ?
Unfortunately, it's a little bit more complicated to join a sorority than picking the chapter house and deciding that is the one you will join. Read the link in my signature. Good luck!

Seriously? Choosing a physical sorority house at this point is like putting the cart in a whole different town from the horse.
Theta lady is right. If you are looking for a quiet apartment, the university has apartments for upper classmen on the other side of El Colegio. They were once called the Santa Ynez apartments. Recruitment at UCSB is billed as being casual, but in my ancient experience, that was not the case. Az Theta, where are you?
