So excited for rush!

Hello! I never thought I'd rush, but I am so excited for next year! I have a few questions about rush and recommendations. I am going to a big SEC school and none of my family has rushed so I have a ton of questions! Let me know if you can answer them!

Welcome mpr. We have tons of advice in the Recruitment forum and even a few rush stories from Arkansas. We also have alumnae who are very familiar with Arkansas rush, so go to the Recruitment forum when you can.

Also, I would recommend that you don't give too much (or any) personal information when you go to the Recruitment forum. I know that sororities sometimes will check that as it gets closer to recruitment. Good luck! I hope it goes well for you!

OP - I suggest you edit your post to delete your name, and please please please read adpiucf's most excellent thread on recruitment. Please? click HERE.

even though adpiucf has been trying to annoy me this entire Lenten season, I still think she's awesomesauce.

I'm just wondering a few things about the actual rush process, and such. First of all, I am getting all of my recommendations early so I can get them out of the way. Should the people writing them send them even though I can't even sign up for rush until this summer? Will they keep the letters even if registration hasn't started? Also, how often do girls end up without a sorority at all? I'm pretty nervous about that...

Is it too much info to give out my name and school? I just hope this thread isn't too much already!

Plese read the recommendation already given. Yes, you need to REMOVE your personal information, just to be safe.

Much better Now read all of the information that we have posted for various SEC recruitments to help get you ready. Yes, go ahead & start getting your recs sent in as soon as you can. Getting them to the sororities before the end of the semester will help get you on their radar. Do NOT wait for registration. Good luck!

I've asked for my username to be changed and took my info off of the initial post. Is that enough? I won't give out ANY personal info in the future till after rush.
