BADGE

All I have to say is one of the people selling a badge said it was "TRIANGLE & Z SORORITY" so disappointed that someone could ever say that and expect to SELL the item!

Does anyone know the procedure for buying badges on ebay? I heard if you buy them off ebay HQ will reimburse you? Anyone know how that works? I really hate to see stuff like that thinking some random person could buy the badge and be an imposter!

I think HQ will reimburse you for badges that you might find off ebay, in a pawn shop, etc.

Here are a few interesting pieces of history on Ebay, badges from sororities that merged with DZ:

Theta Upsilon badge

Phi Omega Pi badge

Pi Delta Theta badge

Looks like the same person is selling all 3.

Hee hee...one time I found a DZ badge on E-bay where the Roman lamp was described as a "teapot"!

Thanks. The current high bidder is a DZ...although I think she should let it go b/c it's too high IMO.

Badge rescue

Ladies-

When you are bidding on badges on Ebay- remember there are several dedicated ladies who "rescue" these badges and return them to national. National will only pay up to a certain $ amount. On Surfing Sisters we keep a list of everyones ebay names so we don't bid against each other and encourage these vultures.

One of these dedicated ladies was initiated in 1929! Now she surfs the net and rescues badges. She so rocks!
