I was reading the GC members' worst nightmare thread, and I thought I'd start this one. I've heard so many crazy rumors about things that people supposedly do to their new members and I'd love to hear what rumors fly around the freshman dorms at your schools. Here's what I've heard from freshman girls so far:
We make our new members eat HoHo's until they throw up (this changes every year, I think the year I pledged everyone was saying it was M&Ms)
Some one started one that we're really lazy and we'll all go to bed with our doors open and then we call our new members and make them come down campus to shut our doors for us (who comes up with this stuff??)
Here's the grand-daddy (and this one rotates from sorority to sorority each year, currently people are saying it's someone other than us right now). Apparently sororities here make their girls sit naked on basketballs and watch porn....I'm not going to say the rest, it's just not appropriate. Yeah, like that happens!!!! Who in thier right mind would not quit on the spot if anyone actually made them do that??!! I know I would!
POTENTIAL NEW MEMBERS: just know that this stuff is purely made up, no chapter in their right mind would do this stuff. If you're in college, you've probably heard it, if you're not yet, you will. Just know that it is bogus. All of us actives just like to laugh about what people who aren't in greek life THINK goes on. Trust me, it doesn't.
