Can you NOT rush particular sororities?
there are two sororities that i do not want to rush...because i have rushed for them before. (i was told by my school those were the only two i was allowed to rush bc of gpa problems) neither gave me a bid (...probably bc my gpa was low) anyways just answer the initial question? do you have to rush ALL the sororities?

Greekchat knows all.
In answer to your question, if it is formal recruitment you will have to attend all 1st round parties. Don't worry - I suspect your problem will resolve itself by the 2nd round.

OK, I edited, but due to circumstances beyond my (lack of self-) control, I am making this edit my signature.
ETA: twizzler chick!!! how can I work that in?

If it's formal recruitment, then yes, you do need to visit all of the houses during the first round. Don't skip these two houses, and don't skip them if you're invited back for future rounds. You have to follow your Panhellenic's procedure for being excused for missing any parties, and not having received a bid from them previously would not be a valid reason. You won't be the first person in the position of going through recruitment a second time. Hopefully they'll be impressed with your higher GPA! It sounds like there is a range of minimum GPAs for membership at your campus. Some might be 2.5, some might be 3.0...it can vary, but you would still attend all the chapters during the first round, even if you don't meet the minimum GPA for certain sororities. Who knows, these two may have really liked you before, but if you barely made their GPA, they still might have been nervous about your future grades...minimum isn't ideal.
If it's informal recruitment, then you generally have more freedom to be selective from the start amongst the chapters that are participating. However, you should consult your Panhellenic/Greek Life office to be sure of the procedures on your campus. Again, though, I'd keep your options open.

These questions should be directed to your Greek Life office. They can give you a definitive answer.
