Does anyone know the name of this movie?

I think this movie came out in the late 70s; it's about a blind guy who moves to the city to get away from his overbearing mother. He falls in love with the girl who lives next door to him, but she starts to date someone else and breaks his heart. Then his mother comes to visit him, and when he refuses to come home with her she moves his furniture around to prove that he can't live on his own. That's all I remember, and my mom and I really want to know what this movie was because neither of us can remember the ending! Does anyone know what it's called? Thanks!
~Dale

Question

Do you know who stars in the movie? If you do, you can go to http://www.imdb.com and put in the actor/actress name. This search will give you a list of every movie they have ever been in and you can also click on the movie title to get plot description, etc. It's a really informative site. Good luck!

Barbara -

Speaking of 70's movies, did you watch the remake of Brian's Song? Was it at all decent?

I stayed away from it, no one can improve on James Caan and Billy Dee as far as I'm concerned!

I didn't see the remake of Brian's Song. I think that the original was great and so sad.
