i just checked my schools website and it said "please attend the open house on january 28th at this time" which was earlier today! I wont be doing recruitment until the fall but it specified the open house was for formal recruitment.. Do you really think they would do it that early?

I seriously doubt this is mandatory for fall recruitment. Consider that freshman in the fall will not be attending this event. Take a deep breath.
