My tired mind came in here expecting to see Foreplay In The Suburbs or something.
I need a Red Bull.
Don't mind me.

This is dumb. They are trying to milk every drop out of this franchise. Candace Bushnell is going through a divorce and might need the money. Otherwise, why can't they just have a dignified ending? I guess SATC2 eliminated that option...

How did i know CW was all over this before I clicked the link? Are they losing steam with Gossip Girl and the like?
I agree with Munchkin - every freaking drop. SATC1 - adorable. SATC2 - implorable. This prequel? Just go away.
As for the rumored cast, Blake Lively does not surprise me at ALL, but for Samantha? Hmph, OK. Thought theyd go for Carrie. I can see Selena Gomez playing Charlotte actually. The other two? Meh.

My daughter had the Carries Diaries last summer on vacation. I was bored and needed something to read so I picked it up. It is definelty a teenage book but it wasn't bad. Kinda shows you how Carrie became the person she was. I didn't read the second one which I bellieve was her first years in New York and how she hooks up with Samantha and the other girls. I could see it as a good movie for older teens young 20's.

The Carrie Diaries was about my town and high school. It was interesting to me, because they changed little things... like the hangout/ restaurant in the book was "the emerald", but really, it's "the diamond" (which is really more of a bar/ pub). I enjoyed it because it had so many elements of tradition in my town/ high school. Had it not had special meaning to me, I'm not convinced I would have been as interested.
I hadn't heard about the other prequel books. hmm.

I vote no. Sidenote: I'm glad I'm not the only person who thought the 2nd movie was stupid and not necessary.

The Romy & Michele In The Beginning movie was bad enough. You'd think people would learn.

I never watched Sex in the City when it was on the air (as I was living at home and my parents weren't going to order HBO for me to watch one show). I did see the first movie and I LOVED it. The second one SUCKED.
As for the prequel, I think I would actually be interested in it as I have read The Carrie Diaries and Summer in the City (I think that is what the second book was called). Quite honestly, I'm looking forward to reading more of the prequel books.
I would watch it, but I don't think many of the Sex and the City fans will. I have a feeling more teenage fans will, which is what I think CW would be aiming for the 16-24 market.

Welp, I'm out of their target market so I will probably forget this show exists. I have not watched the CW in soooooooo long, anyway.

The only reason I watch the CW now is for The Ringer.
