You are what your credits are. You'll just have to explain during rush that you are graduating a year later.
She should, however, confirm which credits are being COUNTED by the school. That may not be as many as she "came in with". I know it's a nitpicky distinction, but if she has three more years, it may be she has some credits that don't do anything to move her closer to a degree.
Well yeah, if she took courses that don't help her toward her major...but she seemed to be asking if she could get out of saying she was a junior since she's going to be there 3 more years. There's a difference between credits not transferring, and credits that do transfer but are essentially useless to help you get to the degree you are now pursuing.
