I have seen many people on here complaining about how they were "punished" during pledging, or as you people would like to candy coat it "New Member Education Period", for getting a question wrong when an active member asked you a question about the house that you wanted to be a part of. If they tell you to sing a nursery rhyme in public, SUCK IT UP, you will break out of your shell. If they tell you to do 20 push ups, SUCK IT UP, you might lose a few pounds. If you are getting yelled at for something that is so stupid that you want to laugh to their face, SUCK IT UP, it's good practice for life.
That being said some hazing is just pointless and there is no thought or reason behind it. Making a pledge eat a vomit covered bar of soap has no benefit on the pledge in life unless they are into some messed up scat shit, but I am not passing judgement.
Pledging isn't just about learning to be a brother or a sister, it teaches you about life. And remember that if you aren't happy with the pledge program you are in, the door is right over there and no one is going to think any less of you because you walked away with your head held high. Just don't start telling house secrets to everyone because that's when you will end up getting your ass kicked.

We were JUST wondering what you thought about this topic. Thanks. Greekchat can now go to sleep. See you tomorrow.

^^^ Yep. It's always great getting life lessons from someone who's been around since spring 2011.

I'm a member of a local fraternity at a school that is famous for pledge programs that have killed pledges in the past.
I am not going to say the specific GLO that I am a part of, because I don't want to.

QFP.
Thanks to GC detectives, you've probably said enough to figure it out.

Well given his other posting ( http://www.greekchat.com/gcforums/sh...05#post2059605) updating the information on what locals are at Alfred State and that Alfred University had Klan Alpine/Chuck Stenzel, I'm pretty sure that he goes to one or the other.
And with continued research...
All of the hits online for tinytim52410 lead back here in some way or another, so we drop back and look for handles of tinytim and Alfred. The first hit for those two is a page on Formspring ( http://www.formspring.me/nowpHATEends) which (surprise, surprise) is for someone who gives their bio as "Mu Theta Brother Real Name is Chris". Mu Theta is a local at Alfred State ( http://mutheta.com/index.html). A picture of Chris is on the formspring page.

Reason: Alfred U/Alfred State confusion.

Excellent work, naraht.
I wonder if tinyTim/Chris is familiar with Alfred State's Hazing poliies.

Continuing research...
Switching around, searching for "tinytim alfred state" shows a facebook page ( http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sourc...HXZQZceX-xF61Q) (ugly URL) (You know you go to Alfred State) that included "Chris Tinytim Chambers". (I can't get to facebook right now). That should give a link to his facebook page.
I'll be happy to take other people's research on this, even if they disprove mine.
(Thinking about the level of research that would be able to be done on *me* given what's out on the internet, with about 15 minutes work, you could probably find out my fraternity, my chapter & School, my national and chapter numbers, the members of my pledge class, the date I initiated, my bigs and littles and I *think* the chapter office that I held)

Fuck you, dude. I'm sure your chapter is one of the reasons my parents were really nervous about me going Greek, and told me that if I did I'd have a lot of proving to do in order for them to support me.
So, fuck you.
