whats up guys? hoping to join a fraternity after the military
Hey guys I'm currently active duty in the Navy. I'm hoping to join a fraternity once I get out. I've been part of a tight brotherhood in the Navy and I'm hoping to continue that in college. I'll be 21 going on 22 or 22 going on 23 when I rush, depending if I get an early out for education. Is this considered too old?
Btw I'll be looking at schools down south(Alabama, Auburn, UT, FSU)
It's never too late especially if you're gonna be a freshman (I'm assuming because I don't know if you earned any credits while in the Navy). I was older than average when I rushed and I have no regrets except wishing I did it sooner.
Since I didn't say it earlier, I want to say it now: Thank you for your service! I wish you the best of luck finding a fraternity that appreciates the sacrifices you have made for your country. Good Luck!
I would HOPE that any fraternity would be honored to have you. Although 21/22 is a bit older, it's always worth a shot -- you never know. Just keep in mind that most of your pledge class will be 3-4 years younger than you -- will that be an issue for you? Something to think about...
