Bridal Plasty.

Alright, so I came across this show today called Bridal Plasty. I am absolutely horrified that there is a television show that the winner gets a certain procedure or plastic surgery done each time. I think thats the premise anyhow I couldnt watch it for very long. It's bad enough with every show on tv (i.e Married to Rock and Real housewives) containes all plastic surgery-ed up with huge boobs, lip injections, face lifted women. It sends a horrible message to girls. Whatever happened to loving the skin youre in? Good riddance.

As if we need another "reality show" to make women as a whole (not individually) look catty, gossipy, silly, petty, bitchy, and obsessed with weddings.

It's even worse that there are women and men who believe all of the above.

I'm watching the show right now and it is truly the dumbest show ever.

I've only seen the previews for this and think it's dumb. Why would you want to PERMANENTLY alter your appearance for one day in your life?

Also, I know looks aren't everything. But if you're a guy and you think your fiancee is beautiful just the way she is, it's probably weird to look up and see Heidi Montag coming down the aisle toward you.

But then again, the guys most likely knew the women were signing up for this and didn't care. So they probably are the type who hope they get a Heidi coming down the aisle.

I watched one episode and while most of the women are there for really shallow reasons I do feel bad for the one woman who had lumps removed from her breast and wants a boob job to look normal again.

What channel is this on? Sounds like another Vh1/MTV creation...

This show is so difficult to watch. I tried to watch two different episodes and could spend no more than three or four minutes on either one. The women are just snotty and coniving, the concept is disturbing, and Shanna Moakler just skeeves me out.

I agree with this. I would only consider plastic surgery if it were necessary to fix something. My mother broke her nose when she was young and then again when she was in a car wreck. From then on she was so self-conscious about her nose because it was crooked (i.e. Owen Wilson's nose). For her birthday a few years after, me and my step-dad saved up money to get her a nose job. It sounds like a wierd gift but it really did make her feel better about herself. However, we both don't agree with plastic surgery for when you want your boobs bigger or are seriously over-critical about your body.

I don't like her for the simple fact that she cheated on the love of my 12 year old life while he was in the burn ward. I would never have done Travis so wrong. I love him. lol.

Yep, they were briefly back together after the accident, then he found out that she had a boyfriend on the side the whole time. Dirty hooker.

Somewhat off topic (I hate the concept of the show, too), but I went through a health interview today, as I'm trying to change health care systems. The question that got me was, "Are you or have you considered any sort of plastic surgery?" I answered, "Any woman who hasn't considered it at some point in her life is probably lying."

Im not against plastic surgery. My mom had a nose job because she broke it as a child and it wasn't fixed properly the first time. I'm all for anything that is going to make you a little more confident in your appearance but when its taken to an extreme i e Heidi Montag then thats when a line needs to be drawn. My problem with the show is that teens watch these channels and I feel it sends the wrong message to young girls who are especially vulnerable at that age.
