Be well behaved in the face of adversity.

But, seriously, why would you expect to be completely released? That is pretty unusual.

Don't worry about something that has not happened. Enjoy THIS recruitment and focus on finding a home this go around. Next year is never a sure thing either.

I'm hoping not to. But the main reasons because of the amount of people rushing this year, the number of houses I have left ( although that's not a main concern), and also because I think I was supposed to be notified today if I would be attending the next event but I'm going to give it till tomorrow before I ask someone. I definitely am enjoying rush now but it is so nerve wracking and distracting thinking about the outcome this weekend, I need something else to distract me until then

There is something called a "self-fulfilling prophecy" and essentially, it means that if you believe it, it will happen. Good or bad, positive or negative, that's the outcome you'll get if you put enough energy into it. Seriously. You become your thoughts.

You've been fretting and worrying for a while now. Last time you posted in another thread, you shared that you had your four top choices still in the mix. Can you contact your RhoChi/rush counselor and ask about tomorrow's events?

Have you been watching The Secret?

Too bad I missed the OP. Boo for no QFP!

I don't recall anything stated that would merit the edit, unless she took AZTheta to heart and deleted the thought not just from her head, but from this thread.

Ditto on it not being a QFP worthy post. She was just worrying, in the middle of her present recruitment, about what she could do to improve her chances for next year's recruitment. She was worried about being completely released...but still had decent returns.

I will admit it was the first time I had ever run across someone with that dilemma on GC.

Exactly This. OP is apparently chronically worried because there are so many PNMs going through and she does not believe she'll get invited to Pref or receive a bid. *shakes head*

No, I'm not reading The Secret and never have. What I wrote is something I was told way back in high school, when God was a baby and dinosaurs roamed the earth. I took the message to heart.
