Unhappy Are You Worried?

It seems like Anthrax is EVERYWHERE now...are you worried? I'm not really sure what my city is doing to protect its residents. But I do get a little antsy when the mail comes, when I get on the train, and when I hear a plane fly by.

Not really....

But I also live in Minnesota (for the time being ).

My boyfriend is from DC, and his parents sent him a package with all his forwarded mail. He was scared to open it. Now, it did go through the same postal facility that the workers contracted anthrax from, but we 're in Minnesota!!!!!! . I don't think it spreads from package to package, does it? I work for the University of Minnesota, and they are supplying anyone who deals with mail or sorts mail rubber gloves.

However, I am kinda nervous for my friends and family back home in Chicago, and along the eastern shoreboard.

Are You worried?

Yes I am... Because you don't know what to expect anymore...Who would have thought a year ago that postal workers would have to wear latex gloves or wear masks to sort and deliver our mail? Now there has been talk about another possible terriost attack within the next few days or week.

Being in Canada, I'm not worried about my own safety, but I am worried about the safety of my family and friends in the US.

My best friend is in D.C. and her roommate tested positive for anthrax... she's on cipro now. They are both on an internship and I am scared to death that I am going to lose her to some sort of terrorist attack...I hate that she's up there, but she says she's happy and anthrax free, but of course I worry all the time

Sweetangel, I am sorry to hear about your friend's roommate. It always seems harder when things hit close to home. I live in a suburb of Dallas, and I try not to worry. I have found myself turning off the TV. I'm trying that out of sight out of mind theory.

Oh my goodness!

I am not going to panic or worry about this. Worrying has never solved anything. But I have been and will continue to pray about all of this.
