Why dont NPHC organizations have houses on campus? Also does piercings and tattoos matter when pledging for a NPHC organization?

As far as piercings and body art, I would say that it depends on how conservative the members of the chapter are. Treat it like a job interview for IBM.

Usually it's because they're smaller , but at my school Southern Miss , Alpha Kappa Alpha , Delta Sigma Theta ,and Alpha Phi Alpha have houses, the other 6 isn't big enough to have them ..hope this helps
