Recruitment reading

Searching "recruitment" on GC is pretty useless for what i'm looking for. google results bring be back to GC

As some of you may know, i'm an advisor for an undergraduate chapter. I'm really interested in research and findings on recruitment. Most schools have a "why go greek?" page on their websites, and i know all of that. I'm looking for more of the student perspective in why students rush/pursue membership, and conversely why they dont. I could rattle off what I know already, but I also like to see it in black and white.

I imagine these types of things could be found in higher ed publications. Alas, I dont have access to such databases anymore.

Any resources would be appreciated!

I am thinking you might want to look at websites of those schools which have recently done revised student life or Greek life plans, ten year plans, strategic goal realignments, etc -- these reports may contain some quantitative data for you.

Cornell comes to mind as being good for those sorts of things.

I don't know if this is what you are looking for, but another helpful resource might be the school stats in terms of the per centage of students who go greek versus the overall student population.
