What is an "open sorority"? I have never heard that term before.

I "think" she might mean a sorority that is diverse/open in religion, sexuality, etc. whose members come from all different backgrounds.

She could mean a non-secret GLO--like Delta Upsilon. But I don't know any sororities that are open in that sense. DU was really a product of the times during the Anti-masonic movement. Really since no sororities were founded that early I wouldn't think that there are very many sororities that are non-secret.

Skylar- I'm a USC alum and I am not sure what you're referring to. Feel free to PM me and I will try to help you.

Farmhouse fraternity is non-secretive I think because it was first founded as a club and not as a fraternity.

My sorority Ceres which was founded on the principles of FarmHouse at the 1984 conclave so it is also non-secret.

just so ya know

Thanks for the info--I didn't know that, as I didn't even look at Farmhouse during rush (though they are a strong house on Campus) b/c I knew that it wasn't going to be a fit for me (a number of different reasons including conflicts of idealogies)

But anyways, once again thanks for letting the GC community know.
