Rushing SEC school as a northerner

Im from Ny and am transferring to University of South Carolina in the spring. Will being from NY hurt my chances of getting into a frat? if so, is there anything i could do make my chances better?

I doubt the guys in Tau Kappa Epsilon there would have a problem with you being from the north. Their chapter website is www.RhoOmegaTKE.org you can find contact info there and et in touch with them directly about it. Most of your bigger schools, like South Carolina, are going to have people there from all over. Other than a little friendly joking I think everything will be fine.

I don't even think TKE is at South Carolina.

It could.

But so could transferring in and not being a fall semester freshman.
