Graduate Degrees Online

I want to know has anyone here received a graduate degree online or know of anyone who has? Any information you can give would be greatly appreciated.

I am currently in the process of pursuing my Doctorate with an online institution. They do not offer all disciplines, but I know that they offer Psychology (my area), Health and Human Services, and Education. Check out their website: Walden University

I hope this helps

Question Clarification, puhleeze!

Do you mean these "fly by night" places that swamp your inbox with emails?

OR

Do you mean receiving a degree from a university that has "satellite" courses on-line and the like?

OR do you mean like folks used to say, getting a degree "in the mail''?

LMAO! It's the old age getting to me, that's all.

MY cousin received her doctorate in this program via a school in Florida. They would meet once a month then in the summer, they would meet in Florida for 2 weeks, this was done for 3 years.

I think I want the in-school interaction, the traditional way of getting things done.

Good luck to you all!

I plan on getting my Masters in Varying Exceptionalities beginning this January via an institution that allows online degrees--Nova Southeastern University (This is in Ft. Lauderdale, FL)

Their website is http://www.nova.edu

I am not sure which programs allow online enrollment, but you can check.

I hope this helps, and good luck!

Thanks Sorors for the information.

For the person who asked I am interested in attending working on my degree from home if at all possible.

Just a word of caution - make sure the program not only suits your needs and time issues, but is also garnered some respect in your industry. Some on-line programs that are attached to well-known institutions are treated OK, but others grab their fair share of laughs in HR departments or by others who review your credentials.
