Hi Ladies,
I know I have posted in the Phi Mu Roll Call Thread that I compete in the Miss America system for Pennsylvania.
Recently, the Miss America Organization has adopted CMN as it's philanthropy, with the reigning Miss America serving as the CMN National Ambassador. Each contestant is encouraged to raise a certain amount of money per pageant they compete in, with proceeds going strictly to scholarship for the women who compete in MAO, and to the children of CMN.
I know purse strings are tight for everyone now (hello, poor college student), but if any of you even have a spare dollar to donate online, please do! Every dollar helps- as a child who's parent's had many medical bills to deal with, I know this first hand. Please consider donating to CMN, to Miss America and to help me compete again this year!
This year I am competing with the platform "Thank a Soldier, Thank a Vet", a cause very near and dear to my heart. I will be visiting veteran's hospitals and army bases throughout PA to promote my platform, as well as organizing drives for Shoebox for Soldier, Pen Pal's for Vet's, etc. It's really a worthy cause.
