NPHC fraternities and sororities dont have houses? What can I do to better my chances of becoming a member? Does it matter if you have a visible piercing? Also whats the process of trying to become a member of any NPHC organization? I have been on the website and studied the history. Also what can make me better prepared?

1. Change your username (not a good look).
2. Graduate from high school and keep your grades high in college.
3. Do as much community service as you can (and do it because you love helping in the community, not because you want to get into a sorority).
4. Wait until you get to college to observe the sororities on your campus and then ask those members questions that are not answered by their websites - do your research on the organization(s) (beyond just studying the websites).
5. Be discrete (don't run around campus talking about which org you wish to join and assume that you will be selected for membership - again change your username).
6. Each NPHC organization has their own membership intake proces. You'll have to attend an informational meeting on campus (fliers are usually posted publicly) and you will receive the info that you need.
7. Some NPHC chapters do have houses but not on average.
8. Don't ask a bazillion NPHC questions on GC (do a search - most questions have been asked and exhausted before) and most members won't answer membership questions; you'll only be directed to their organizations' websites.
Good Luck in school!
