PCB hotel recommendations?

I've GOT to get to the beach before summer is over. I've only been to PCB once...and it was over 10 years ago. Anywhere between PCB/Destin area. Gotta have beachside. Those of you who go often, or have been before and had a great stay - where would you recommend? Thanks...

Holiday Inn, Sunspree was great! I LOVED that place...

Also another place I stayed a few years ago was the Bikini Beach resort. We got a two bedroom suite with a waterfront view. The window was HUGE and you felt so close to the water. Not a fancy place. But, a good stay for the money from what I remember...

I would recommend closer to the Destin side. Although the PCB hotels might be cheaper, you're totally going to get what you pay for. The Inn at Watercolor was really nice; I'm not sure if it's changed names/hands recently. I think it all depends on how much you want to pay, since the hotels on 30-A tend to be luxury places. 98 is a $#!^show during the summer--just a little warning. In most areas it's a two-lane highway that could afford to be larger even in the winter.

I grew up in Destin, so I'm probably a liiitle biased.
